hello my name is lucas,
first i want to thank everyone in advance.
and ask if you could please help me solve this issue i have .

i recently built my gaming rig everything worked great, but suddenly my pc started shutting off or restarting when gaming, sometimes i could play 10 mins others i would go 2 mins in to the game and it would shut off.

i thought maybe my cpu or gpu where over heating but after checking my temps, my cpu "amd fx8350" never went above 35° and my gpu "asus readon hd 7850 2gb" stays in the 55-60° , and that's when gaming .

at first i thought my gpu might be malfunctioning due to other reasons besides overheating so i went to the store and got it replaced with a new one, but the problem still persists.

last night after having the pc on for the whole day i tried watching netflix and the same thing happened while watching video . and it happened 3 times and i gave up and shut off my pc for the whole night , in the morning i turned it on again and i was able to use the pc normaly including netflix. exept for gaming it would still shut off if i played for a while . so i took out the side cover from my pc and ran crysis 3 and the game played well over 10 mins with out crashing . so i am thinking maybe my psu is over heating ?

please feel free to ask for more info

my build is

cpu: amdfx8350
gpu: asus readon hd 7850 2gb
ram: corsair vengance 16gb ddr3 memory
psu: cooler master xtream power plus 600w
motherboard: asrock 970 extream 4

If you monitored your temps on your CPU and GPU, those look perfectly fine. I think you may be right about the PSU. Corsair doesn't make the best PSU's and the one you purchased is very cheap and not even 80 certified.

Power supplies are one of the more important components to buy when building a system so spend a decent amount of money on one. When you get your next one, take a look to see if the PSU is also 80 certified (bronze, silver, gold, etc..) or a high current PSU. Also, check the consumer ratings.

I think you're right about your power supply issue. Your PSU could be overheating or it can be faulty with the current it is delivering.
