Hello all, I finally have all my research done and found all the sales I could to get a budget gaming pc under $1000 that is still quite powerful. This is my first time ever building a pc. Here is what I have in my NewEgg shopping cart:

Window 7 Home Premium and Intel i5-3570k Ivy Combo
$315

NZXT Led Sleeve and Antistatic Wrist Wrap

(Since it's Radeon, it includes Bioshock Infinite, Crysis 3, Tomb Raider)

I really want to know whether to get the GTX 660 ti or Radeon 7950. I would play either of the set of games that comes from each card.

I would appreciate any feedback, like advice or suggestions to change any of the components. In the future I may want to set up a crossfirex system, adding more fans, overclock the CPU.

Thank you.

I will be ordering in the next couple of days.

Hey,
I would definitely go with the 7950 as it is slightly faster than the 660 ti and like you mentioned you do get couple of free games with that.
Cheers

Alright, what do you also think about these MOBOs?

Also, would you ever recommend buying an "open box" mobo?

Cool, I think I might actually get a mobo from Asus that has two PCIE 3.0 slots, which would allow me to crossfire a lot better. I'm just contemplating whether I will actually be doing that in the future or not. I'm not even sure if you can crossfire two 7950 cards.
