I have never used any game pads before.Currently i am playing Resident Evil Revelations,Grid 2 ,Remember Me and all other games with keyboard and mouse.

I just have one doubt whether these game pads are comfortable with First Person Shooter games like BF3,Crisis Series ,Cod Series and other FPS games were quick and precise aiming is important?

Solution
None of those. I recommend geting an Xbox 360 controller. Officially supported in Windows and most PC games nowadays directly support it 'out of the box'. Both the wired and wireless 360 pads work, but the wireless needs a little adaptor to connect (about £10).

It's perfect for FPS games offline (I'm currently playing Crysis 3 with a 360 controller on my PC). but online you'll need the accuracy of a keyboard and mouse or you will get killed. A lot.

I also use Logitech game pad (Precisely #2 in this list) and so far there has been not a single problem with it. It is compatible with all the games supporting game pads and works flawlessly.

You can use it to play all games except FPS. Actually a game pad can never provide the aiming precision required by an FPS game and thus it is total BS for any of the first person shooters. TBH people using game pads on PCs to play FPS games are considered fools because keyboard and mouse is the best option there (which makes even real console owners jealous sometimes). :D

Get the 2nd one and play all games with it except FPS ones. It works better with pcsx2 though where game pad is the only option.

Thanks for the reply.
i was thinking about the 3rd one.By the way 2nd one is also in my consideration only thing is its not cordless :(

One more question?
If game pads are not meant for FPS gaming then how PS3 and Xbox 360 users plays FPS games?

1) Its cord is long enough that you won't even feel that it is there. It never bugs me at all .. Spending so much more for just a cord is not wise ..

2) They have auto aim which 90% of the PC games with gamepad lack. Also auto aim gets you killed easily because of stupid wrong aiming. You want to aim for the guy standing right next to you literally blasting you out with an AK - 47 and auto aim is stuck with a guy at right doing absolutely nothing .. Most of the good players keep it off and go for manual aiming which is far tougher than using a mouse and requires a lot of time to master .. I guess you got the idea of how difficult it gets to play an FPS game with a controller on PC .. :)

Game pads work best on racing games .. and I am very satisfied with mine..

You gave me three choices and I was thinking you want to go for Dual Shock 3 style controller, but if you would have included Xbox controller, that would be the way to go.. No need for custom mapping, out of the box support for almost all windows live games, more comfortable to hold, and overall a quality product .. But it is slightly more expensive..

I won't use it because I have to emulate PCSX2 games which require Dual Shock style controllers or hell, because I am in habit of it, but if you don't want to do that and if you are going to stick to PC games, that is the way to go...

To clarify, almost all Windows games, regardless of whether they are Windows Live games or not, are supported. Outside of the obvious (MMOs and RTS games, for example), 99% of new Windows game natively support the 360 controller.

FYI yes, I have my gaming PC plugged into my TV and game from my sofa with a wireless 360 controller. It's a very good experience.

Actually thing is that Dual Shock style controller is also supported .. at least in my system .. all games whether or not GFWL, they detect it .. The only thing is that I have to map the keys according to Xbox live controller which gets tricky for the first time considering the fact that I am not used to that game's controls yet .. But as far as compatibility is concerned, almost all controllers support most of the windows games .. difference is that Xbox guys do not have to re map the controls. ;)
