Hello everyone.
As the title says, I've installed a new motherboard on my rig and the only thing I get when I turn the machine on is a black screen. All fans are working and I can hear the HDD's trying to turn on (one of them gives me a weird sound, but I'm thinking it's because it's also about to die), but that's it. I tried running the machine with just the minimal: one ram stick, cpu/heatsink, monitor on the motherboard and gpu. I even tried unplugging the HDD's and nothing helped.
I'm new to this, but I carefully placed everything the way it's supposed to be, put thermal paste on the CPU, etc, etc.
If this information helps at all, the capslock key on my keyboard seems to light up when I press it.
Hardware:
AsRock G41C-GS Mobo
Kingston HyperX DDR2 (yes, it's connected on the DDR2 slot on the mobo)
GeForce 9600 GT GPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Core 9300 (iirc, it's the one at 2.5Ghz) CPU
