What type of graphic card can run the Sims 2 in full detail?

I've been meaning to get a graphic card for TS2. I finally decided on ATI Radeon HD 6450 but as I checked for reviews regarding the Sims 2 it bombed terribly. So now I'm stuck again.

What would be a good graphic card at a reasonable price (I'm thinking of something not over $100...if that's possible) that is also durable and can run the game at high settings?

These are my PC specs: http://oi41.tinypic.com/2urlfns.jpg

Please help?

I was considering on getting a nVidia GeForce GTX 260 given the great reviews it got, but I'm just wondering if there might be something better or newer than that? Or just how durable would that card be? And if it's good to run other games?

I actually don't play anything aside from Sims 2 and classic games but I would like to, at some point, start playing other games for the pc.

Oh, and how much RAM should suffice to purchase? Is an additional 2 GB of RAM enough?

Thank you.

The Sims 2? Any card. Heck, onboard Intel can run it.

Or do you mean The Sims 3? Locate a Radeon HD 6670, they go for $50-60 on average.

Regarding the GTX 260, don't waste your money on power-hungry old graphics cards. Get a newer card that's good enough for the games that you're gonna play and has low power requirements, i.e. 6670. With the GTX 260 you'd probably have to buy a better power supply on top of the video card just so it'll run. Oh, and another 2 GB of RAM is never a bad thing.

7750 is a bit more powerful, so that'd work for sure too.

Hi nbelote. In case I couldn't get my hands on a 7750 what other cheap but great card would you recommend that would run this game (and hopefully other games) on high detail without lagging or chopping?

Thank you!
