Since the last day of school, I have not gamed because I had problems with my 7870. I had a spare $1k from the sale of a Macbook Pro. The funds haven't been available until a couple days ago, and I just got the money in my bank account after withdrawing it from paypal. I decided to buy the GTX 690, and I only buy on amazon. They only had Asus GTX 690 ready to ship, so I purchased that because I couldn't wait for the EVGA model to be available. It was out of stock and they would restock this friday, but I wouldn't receive it until Wednesday.
My question is ASUS good enough to go with? Or would it had been worth it to wait for the EVGA. I've personally never had a EVGA before but I've read and heard it's top dog when it comes to GPUs. I also read that it all comes down to warranties and customer support. Any advice? I REALLY can't wait to start gaming again, I've been re-watching Prison Break just to pass the time.
