HD7970 with PSU 600w

Hello experts,

I am planning to buy HD 7970 card. I want to know if my 3 yrs old config I.e. PSU 600 W Cooler master silent pro and motherbaord intel WXP8BP... 8 gb ram and i7 process.

Will the psu and motherboard will be ok for this card?

As long as your motherboard has an open PCI-E slot, you should be fine. 600W is what I feel as a good sweet spot for the majority of systems and your's isn't a crappy brand either.
 
Coolermaster IS a generally under-performing brand of PSU (and some are dangerous), although the Silent Pro line may be "ok." I have a HD7970 overclocked to 1130MHz mining BTC (i.e. 98% usage) in a system that pulls ~311W-321W from the wall. The CPU is not busy while mining, but even so a 600W PSU isn't needed for this card.
