hello

i bought a static ip to access my cameras via the internet
and i use nanostation5 and tp-link router by using pppoe username and password to access the internet

in the router i make port forwording to the port of each camera and i can access by writing the camera ip with the port in the IE like " 192.168.1.40:60

my question how and where can i put the static ip that i bought in the nanostation or in the router ? and how ?

my regards

I am going to assume the static IP you bought is from your ISP. What you will need to do is for your TP-LINK router under WAN setup instead getting IP automatically from ISP set it to static. That IP will be the external IP. However sometimes with pppoe the IP may already set for you and you don't need to do anything. To confirm that go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ and see if the number giving you matches the static IP you got.

I'm not sure, I went on that website there are some tutorials on setting it up. You may have to follow that. I think they are just forwarding your Dynamic Ip to a static one. If that is the case you probably shouldn't configure the router like what I told you.
