My budget is about 1000. I'm purchasing the parts from Microcenter. They have some bundle deals on the MoBo and Processor. That's why i'm going with the ivy.

The haswell processors are new and more expensive than their similar speced and considerably cheaper ivy bridge equivalents. The i5 3570K is a great processor and not meaning to sound like I hate amd but the 8350 doesn't stand a chance against the 3570K in gaming situations.

The Haswell products are also available for bundle discounts at Microcenter. The difference between the 3570K and 4670K is $10. The FX-8350 is cheaper than the 3570K.

I am sorry to tell you otherwise, but the FX-8350 is becoming more relevant as the days progress and more and more games utilize multiple threads. It may be worthwhile to consider what games the OP plans on playing before deciding which CPU is better suited for his needs.
