I am trying to build a budget gaming pc between $600 to 650
I have minimum computer building knowledge but did a few research
and believe that I have found good components for my build.

I am looking for a budget gaming pc that would run pretty quiet, durable, and solid for +4 to 5 years without I having to change parts every 1 to 2 years.

I am planning to get:
gigabyte geforce 650 ti boost oc 2gb 1098mhz gddr5
Intel Core i3 3220 Dual Core Hyperthreading Processor LGA1155 3.3GHZ Ivy Bridge
coolermaster haf 912 case
corsair cx series 600w psu with 120mm fan
western digital cavier blue 1tb 7200rpm
CORSAIR Vengeance ram 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
and either MSI b75 microATX or standard ATX or asus p8b75 mATX.
standard dvd/cd drive - $25-30

will the video card bottleneck the cpu?

what about the ram? should i get 8gb?

so you recommend any of the 3 motherboards for this pc setup? or is there a better one under $100?

Is the case too small? Heard haf 912 was a great case for its price with plenty of room for quite large components and cable management.

I am really worried about what kind of psu to get . is corsair 600w an overkill. sufficient, or minimal for this pc? I am willing to get more wattage psu like 650w or 700w if this psu would have a hard time running this pc for a long time.

And if i get a 2 memory slot motherboard, should i get just 1 ram and 2 rams for 4 slot motherboard for maximum performance?

Thanks.
I would appreciate a quick and accurate response with recommendations for specific brands of each of the components if you have any.

This will in no way in hell work for 5 years of gaming. Haf 912 is a good case but no point of putting a case that good for a computer of that size. Go cheaper on case do not get Intel i3 it's a HORRIBLE processor it will make you kill your self. Get a nice FX8320 core with a good board you can find them for about 250 both. Than find Dominator ram kits for no more than 80$. Till here this should be like 300. Than you can get a nice GTX 660 for like 150 if you are lucky. Rest you can spent on Powersupply and Case. Get an okay case for like 40 dollars.

Cooler Master Elite 343 is okay case for low price. Any ATX case will fit what you plan to build so just get something cheaper. Powersupply make sure is at least 500W to power all of your things. GTX 660 vanilla card you can find one for price of 150 maybe ATI 7850 is within budget but i am not 100% on it. In any case do not get an i3 since it's awful and the LGA 1155 socket will just put you over the limit and will kill you CPU wise. AMD will get upgrade soon again and it will be AM3+ socket so you are future proof there. New intel socket is 1150 so mobo change if u want upgrade.

So to sum up.
Vishera 8320 core + some nice asus board at around 70$
GTX 660 <--- Vanilla for around 150. GTX 650TI or overclocked can be better but watch the price. If not ati 7850 might be within budget they come with bunch of games.
Dominator ram AT LEAST 8GB do not get 4 that's just too low. YOur system alone will eat 3. Spent like 70$ there Dominator 1300/1600MHZ kits with cls 9 not very fast but plenty for you to game on.
Normal harddrive of 1TB for like 80$
Cheap case for 40. like Cooler Master Elite 343
Get ATX board.
And normal 500W powersupply. Corsair and Coolermaster both have cheap once. I would prefer corsair.

CPU: I'd get an AMD it'll save you a little bit more money and if this is for gaming an AMD processor in the 6 core family will do JUST fine.

GPU: I woudn't go with that card but that is strictly personal preference there isn't anything too bad about that card. I like Radeon better. If you do go Radeon get a 7850.

Case: If you don't mind a bit of a dull look and no case glow I'd get a Fractal Design Core 3000 USB 3.0. It makes building MUCH easier IMO.

RAM: No offense but 4 gigs was a bit stupid. 8 gigs, Kingston is a great company, at 1600 MHz will suffice.

Mobo: Try out an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0

Thanks I appreciate the good reply.
its just that 8320 is too pricy for me im looking for a cpu under $130-140. Are AMD cpus usually better than intel's in similar price region?
is amd 4300 if not 6200 or 6300 any good? I read benchmark reviews and 6300 had the best score but it is $20-30 cheaper in most online stores.. seems to have a disavantage that i cannot see do you know why?
AMD FX-6200 Six Core Processor Socket AM3+ 3.8GHZ 8MB L3 Cache 125W Retail Box $142
AMD FX-6300 Six Core Processor Socket AM3+ 3.5GHZ 14MB 95W Retail Box $120
Is it cause of the extra 0.3 ghz in 6200 which should have almost negligible gaming performance increase ?

And are there intel i5s or intel i7 with similar or better gaming performance in similar price bracket? Lots of reviews on cpus i heard intel just has better ones.
And is choosing between quad core and hexa or octa core cpu much different in terms of casual gaming in years to come?

The AMD 6300 is a great processor. There really aren't any cheap and modern or semi modern intels.

As long as you can pick a nice quad core FX CPU even if I5 is out of your budget amd should suffice. But please i urge you do not get an I3 that's not a gaming cpu it's wanting to hang your self horrible.

May I humbly suggest...

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor FD6300WMHKBOX ($140)

MOBO: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS ($80) *Note: If you want USB 3.0 you can pay $100 for the normal M5A97.

GIGABYTE GV-R785OC-1GD Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card ($170)

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 ($70)

Western Digital WD AV-GP WD10EURX 1TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM ($90) *Note: You could save $20 by going with a 500gb model, depending on your storage needs.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply ($60) *Note: Should be enough for this if my research is right, though if someone with more experience would like to weigh in, that would be great.

Antec Three Hundred ($60) or Three Hundred Two Gaming Case ($75) *Note: Depends if you get USB 3.0 or not.

DVD Burner ($25)

***

Alas, I did not quite hit your budget as closely as I would have liked.

$695 (LE motherboard and Antec Three Hundred Case) or $730 (regular MA597 motherboard and Antec Three Hundred Two case.) *Note: I did not take the HDD reduction into account for either of these options.

All product prices and names came from Newegg.com.

I hope that something here will be helpful. Happy shopping! :)
