Would you buy it? As some of you may remember, previous Battlefield titles (excluding bad company series) had single player mode, which was really an offline variant for multiplayer where you had bots. Back when Battlefield 3 released, I was extremely disappointed that there wasn't a feature like this. Instead we got this god awful "campaign" and boring co-op mode. I'm pretty much going to skip on buying Battlefield 4, because I know they are going to do the same crap. Let me know how you guys feel about this. Thanks for reading.

surely you buy Battlefield for the superb online-multiplayer? There's no other reason to buy it, unless you count staring in awe at the amazing graphics as a reason to buy it.

Offline bots don't interest me in the slightest.

:p

Well caring for bots or not, you have to admit that the campaign and co-op are just a waste of what could be a better game. It's too bad all these developers care about nowadays is competition and money. Battlefield 3 should of just had multiplayer and offline bots.

I thought the campaign was alright. The story itself wasn't great, but the cinematics and set-pieces were superb.

Co-Op wasn't too bud, but it did feel a bit rushed - they could've made it much better.

Although I have to agree with you, DICE should completely cut the Campaign from future games and just focus on the multiplayer aspect solely - after all, that's the only reason 99% of people buy it.

Bots would be quite fun in Battlefield 4 actually, but I'd probably never use them. It's not as fun as playing with and against real people.

Out of interest, why do you desire bots? Do you not play online at all? :p

I don't know why, but challenge isn't as fun to me as it is to other people. I have such a bad time against good players when playing online, but I do enjoy online most of the time. When I am playing against noobs online, I have such a blast because I am able to easily rack up so many points and kills. If there were bots, I feel I would have a good time. I've actually enjoyed the bots ever since Battlefield 1942. Also, most of my online games are full of people who don't care much for team play, and never communicate back. Bots are usually programmed to go for objectives all of the time, and they seem to be more team based instead of lone wolf. Whether I go online or not really depends on who I am playing with, and if I make friends who invite me to play, I will no doubt play with them, but in the meanwhile I go and play with bots to fill the void.
