Hi sry yet another question
My family has been with AOL since 2007, there are 2 extra screen names and email addresses linked to my mums main account and email - she pays the bills for the service. I'm going to try and persuade her to switch to virgin or someone of the same ilk but she is too worried about losing her email address. AOL are extremely confusing and slightly cryptic as to weather we would keep all the addresses and screen names that are linked to her account.
If we made the switch and cancelled our account would we lose the accounts or are they kept?
Thankyou

You will be able to keep your e-mail addresses and not pay anything.

Barring any weird recent changes, I *think* you'll be able to keep the existing AOL email addresses.
I still have mine from 1994, even though I cut off the paying service around 2001 or so. I check it once a month or so.

You might want to use this opportunity to switch them to something more generic. gMail, for instance. Future service changes will have no effect on that email address.
