Would an Antec Earthwatt 500w psu handle a gtx 570?

your main issue there is your cpu would bottleneck the crap out of that gpu. So its pointless anyway but yes that psu would handle it, just. The only reason to get that gpu is if your getting it VERY cheap or free. for that cpu you would really top out at a 7850 or 650ti to not have so much of a bottleneck, but some more cpu demanding games will still not run so well with that cpu.

I'm getting the ggtx 570 for $120. Is that a good deal? I know my cpu isn't anything to brag about but I wanted more power and oomph behind my games/graphics processing.

With that PSU you would be cutting it very close as the GTX 770 Needs 42Amps of power across the 12v rail and this PSU has 44amps so I would recommend that you upgrade your PSU to something like a corsair with a strong 12v rail.
