Question about Sabertooth Z87 Compatibility

I have been looking at the memory and hardware compatibilities of ASUS's Sabertooth Z87 found here http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z87/#support_QVL . According to the hardware compatibility, the last file, this board would not be able to support the Corsair HX750 PSU. I also found that the board would not be able to support the G.Skill F3-1600C9D memory. Should this compatibility documents be strictly adhered to so that I should only buy the items listed on them or not?

Those are just items we tested and confirmed. That does not mean other stuff won't work. It's just that some things go EOL and we cannot get them in Taipei easily. If the kit is for Z87/Z77 it should work.
