Will I see a difference from 1090T to FX 8350?

I've been thinking of upgrading my 1090T to a FX 8350 and my older motherboard Asus m4a989td pro also. I currently have a Gigabyte GTX 670 windforce 3 graphics card. But I'm wondering if it's worth the money to basically do a full upgrade of my PC or not I can't decide and looking for some advice on the matter.

My current setup:

Gigabyte GTX 670 OC windforce x3
AMD 1090T Black Edition 3.7ghz OC with Hyper 212+ cooler
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO USB 3
8gb vegence series 1600mhz RAM
128gb Vertex 4 SSD
1TB seagate HDD
700w OCZ Stealth Quiet2 PSU
NXZT Enthusiat Phantom Full Tower

As for over clocking. I'd very much like too. But after a recent BIOS update to a more recent BIOS. I can't over clock my CPU anymore. Every time I do it just gives me a BSOD or simply crashes at login screen.

But, for some odd reason after setting everything back to optimized defaults. It self over clocked it self to 3.7ghz which I won't complain as I was running 3.8 stable previous to it. But I'd like to max it out to 4ghz or maybe even 4.2ghz.

Do you guys know how I can fix this problem or what is causing it. And if I can figure it out. I obviously will need a better cooler than my Hyper 212+ EVO to get it to 4.2ghz and was wondering what are good cooling solutions for that.

+1, while the 1st gen bulldozer architecture (Zambezi) was a lateral move for you...the piledriver architecture should be a solid improvement in performance. Plus, you'll have a new 970/990FX chipset MB so when steamroller comes along you can upgrade to that.

I have seen the FX8350 OC as high as 5.559 GHz for an everyday OC (he uses evap cooling tower though, so you likely won't get there)...but you can hit 5.0 GHz with a good cooling setup.

Can you recommend me a motherboard that would be a good quality pick for future upgrades? I was thinking of SLI my 670 in the future possibly too. Can those boards do that also?

If so, I was checking out this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514 as per reviews are good but wiling to take a look at all suggestions. And maybe is it worth the wait for the steamroller chips or should I buy the 8350 in the mean time. Though I'd like it to last a while as I'm poor but willing to wait for steamroller if they are released in the near future.

Sure...the Asus Sabertooth 990FX would be good, and supports SLI. Also, the Asus M5A99FX EVO R2.0, the Asrock 990FX extreme3 or extreme9, Gigabyte 990FX UD3 or UD5/UD7, MSI 990FX GD-65/GD-80.

All of those will support SLI and should be good for upgrades later. Personally I would go with the Asus boards, but the others are good too. Also, the Asus Sabertooth 990FX Gen 3 has PCIe 3.0 compatability as I understand it...which is an advantage.

EDIT: Steamroller is at least 6 months away...I would say grab the FX8350, as it's a very capable CPU, and Steamroller will only require a CPU purchase, you won't have to overhaul, so you could buy a CPU for $200 in a year or so.

I was about to recommend the same board.
Thats the best 990fx board for the money.
Just make sure you get rev 1.1.
rev1.0 doesn't has LLC & rev 3.0 has some hardware issues. so, both would be bad for overclocking.

The similarly priced m5a99fx pro r2.0 would also be a good choice
