A friend of mine called me up because his computer stopped working awhile ago and apparently the water coolant line had a small pin hole in it and well the mother board is done for. Now the board is a Gigabyte 990 UD3 and is still under warranty but will they cover it since it was the water coolers fault or do we just need to get him a new board...I know his power supply is toasted is it possible that everything else fried or would it be fine?

Solution
nope. i'm pretty sure they'll tell you to contact the manufacturer of your watercooler.

corsair AIO units come with very robust warrantys. If it was a DIY you might be SOL.

Probably not. It won't hurt to ask though. I run air coolers, since the thought of running water through my computer makes my skin crawl. LOL

He ordered the pc from CyberPowerPC over a year ago and there warranty ran out or that would have been my first call, but on another note with the way this thing was thrown together I would never order from them, the build quality wasnt even there for him paying almost 1400
