How exactly does overclocking a 680 work?

I'm confused.

My default boost clock is 1124 mhz. My Kepler overclock is 1228 hz.

I overclock +60 MHZ in evga precision, so my boost clock is now 1184mhz. Yet when I run Heaven it still maxes out at 1228 hz.

Is my clock capped at 1228hz no matter what?

The 6xx will go down as a non-OC generation. The issue is really that the power levels we're able to pump to the 6xx cards is limited, so you'll hit a ceiling on the V that PrecisionX is willing to give the card.

I have a 690. I crank the Power Target to 135%, and I still can't get crap from an OC.
