Ok so I have a AMD Radeon HD 7770 and I want to upgrade to a higher video card that lets me run games like BF3 and Metro Last Last Light in Very High Settings or Ultra whatever. My top budget is 500$ BTW are this two card enough for future games like BF4 and Next Gen stuff

My Considerations are this two cards:

500$
1. Asus GeForce GTX 680 Video Card - 4GB GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0 (x16), 1x Dual-Link DVI-D, 1x Dual-Link DVI-I, 1x DisplayPort, 1x HDMI, DirectX 11.1, Overclocked, Dual-Slot, (GTX680-DC2-4GD5)

410 $
2. EVGA GeForce GTX770 w/EVGA ACX Cooler 2GB GDDR5 256bit, Dual-Link DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI,DP, SLI Ready (02G-P4-2773-KR) Graphics Cards 02G-P4-2773-KR

A single 1920 x 1080 monitor? Get the 770. It's slightly faster and cheaper. At higher resolutions the 4GB of VRAM would be a good idea but it does not really help those cards due to the 256 bit memory bus. An HD 7970 benefits more from extra VRAM than a GTX 680/770 does due to higher memory bandwidth. Or the GTX 780 if you can afford it.

OK and now that you put AMD cards on topic is there an AMD card that is better than the 770 in the 400 to 500 price range ?

The GTX 770 very slightly beats an HD 7970 Ghz edition. Overclock them both and they are pretty much dead equal. The GTX 770 is roughly $50 cheaper though but AMD makes up for that with their game bundle. If you plan on running 2 cards ever then Nvidia has the advantage because of bad micro stuttering issues with this generation of AMD cards.

Read this it may help.

Personally I am going to get a GTX 780. More money but no what is faster argument either!

Edit. Nvidia will get more performance with driver updates as time goes on. The 770 has 7Ghz memory for the first time in a card and it will take driver optimizations to make good use of it.

Between the cards you listed the EVGA 770 hands down. That ACX cooler is amazing. That will be the model 780 I get. When overclocked it equals and even beats the $1050 Titan in quite a few benchmarks. Not bad for a $660 card.

If you truly want to max all the games out now even at 1920 x 1080 then you need the 780. The 780 is the only single card except Titan that can max Crysis 3 all the way. It really shines at higher resolutions too.

No it can't, except if 37fps is ok for you

Thanks for the info men but I decided to wait until I have the money to buy the 780 and then there will be no dilemma for me to decide which one is best because with that one I will be one step ahead :)
