Am i expecting to much?

So, I have had my computer for a little while now. I have filled it up with games and everything. Now i used a $600 budget to get this pc and i though i did pretty good with the help of the nice people on here but now im looking back at and Currently i go to yougamers to look how my pc would fare in games and time after time again im told i can run them with ease but when the time comes to run them I max everything out. Sometimes it does ok but othertimes there is such a lag fest that it becomes unplayable. Does anyone have any advice? like which setting would affect the fps the most but not so much affect the graphic fidelity? Also I never got an answer in my other post about KERNEL.exe continuously popping up so can someone head to that post for me and help? Also if anyone wants to know my specs ask.

How would you expect anyone to answer without your system specs and the games in question? So yes, I do think you are expecting too much from these forums.

Typically AA is the most demanding setting in games, so lower that down to 2x or something.
But yes, expecting a $600 machine to even go above medium settings in games is a bit much. You need to lower your settings.

Here are my specs

$600 machine not going above med PSHHHH

CPU: I3 3220 3.3 ghz
GPU: Radeon 7850 XFX 1gb
Ram: 8GB @1600 i believe
IDK why it says x64 based cpu... i could have swore it was x86?
Storage: 1tb idr the speed
anything else?

OK, maybe high settings if you overclock. Now that you have laid out the specs its actually fairly decent.

Drop down on the AA, lower resolution textures if you have the option (consumes VRAM, which you dont have much of).

Now what games would you be refering to in these options? cuz i currently play far cry 3 at 1600 y 1200 res and im at high settings with aa off and hdao on. And i get playable frame rates... lowest at like 30 something. And i havent had a problem with any games using all of my vram yet. Idk why.

Cause of the low resolution, and AA uses up a fair bit of VRAM.
And acceptable frame-rates are subjective, I personally notice if it goes below 45FPS and will sacrifice settings so it will stay in the 50-60 range.

ya idk why but changing from xbox 360 to pc for 600 has made me want to get the most out of it. any more advice?

so if im getting bad fps in a game i need to lower aa? what about msaa? or ssoa or whatever that is?
