Hi there,

I have a high end computer, but I don't have a GPU at the moment!

I always use the computer for work & the console like (PS3, PS4) for games!

A lot of my friends told me that pc graphics is always better than consoles, even can be better than PS4!

So, which GPU can be like PS4 graphics, or even better? or I should wait and get the PS4?

Can you list your PC's specs?

Hey,

You have a decent processor that you can overclock quite good.

I suggest you invest into a graphics card like the GTX 670, it is a perfect fit into your system and will give you High settings at 1080P in most games with fluid FPS. Graphics wise you may not see a difference vs PS4 as I'm sure PS4 designed to play on 1080P too.

However performance wise you will get much better frame rates.

There is a posibility that you can play on ULTRA settings with the PC though.

All in all, I say ditch the PS4 idea, consoles are just budgett versions of a PC, nothing else.

You can not generalize like that. Both platforms will play 1080P so what is the difference?

The difference is in framerate, multitasking and other advantage of a PC whereby you have more longetivity.

What I am saying is that visibly you wont see any difference between a PS4 on high and a PC on high.

Maybe in a small rare fraction of games where you have the chance to go ULTRA... even still I wouldnt go to those settings with a GTX 670/770. So practically speaking from a practical perspective both platforms the PS4 and a PC with a GTX 670 would pretty much be the same.

On paper however, obviously PC would win, and so would it win in terms of price. So havign said that, the real answer is not with practical performance but more so with the amount of money saved and the longetivity (ability to upgrade a part later on etc)

Not sure why you can't go Ultra on a 770 @1080p - the console is running essentially a desktop GPU - it's GCN, and on-die doesn't affect much, so because your GPU is more powerful, you will have higher settings. The Tom's review seems to have been benched at 1440p, highest settings possible. Most were in the >50FPS range, though some were nearer 30FPS (CRYSIS3!). Almost double it because you're at 1080p, and you can max out everything.

But upgradeability is another advantage the PC has.

You have to consider the way these platforms are built and the games being run on them. Though the PS4 will have the capability approx of 7850, it will run games in 1080p on High Settings.

Ergo, in the real world you would not see much difference unless you are an enthusiast of some form or another. For the typical average user this is what sells the product.

You realize on consoles you don't have a choice of settings?
I would say that the OP having a 2500k and a Sabertooth board would be an enthusiast.

Though I do agree with what your saying, the average person wouldn't really notice the difference between a decent PC rig and a PS4 for maybe a year or two when it starts to show its age. Personally I can tell the difference, PC's have spoiled me too the point where I am very sensitive to FPS drops when playing on consoles and the 6yr old hardware is definitely showing its age.

With the newer console you can - both the PS4 and XBox 1 are based on a Piledriver SoC with a GCN GPU - apparently the XBox 1 even runs a stripped-down version of Win8. They're very similar to a modern PC, so should cut down on the frequency of bad console ports.

While you will always be able to do more with a PC, and we all would likely choose a DIY PC over a console, they aren't completely incomparable any more.

Functionality aside, if we are talking about games only and if you want good graphics experience, you will need a GPU that could possibly play 1040P or more if you want to have somethign superior to a PS4. Else youd be hard strained to find the difference.

Besides at that level you are also looking for a new monitor/TV most likely with higher refresh rates and resolutions.
