Hey guys,

Found an old gaming rig for $300 and want your opinion on it.
On parts picker the build seems to be ~$600.

Intel Core 2Quad Q6700 @2.66Ghz
EVGA 750 SLI FTW motherboard
ASUS GTX 550ti 1GB graphics
Raid max 650w power supply
6GB DDR2 800mhz memory
1TB Western Digital hard drive
Zalman CNSP9700 LED copper CPU cooler
DVD rw
Win7 64 bit home premium

So its cheap and seems decent for the price.

Google search showed people OC the CPU to 3.5Ghz stable and I
Plan to try and OC it. Will I need a new heatsink?

Main use for movies, gaming and multitasking work.

Hopefully you can shed some light on this decision but YouTube showing gtx 550 playing assisn's creed Without a problem.

Solution
On newegg there are better do it yourself combo builds. Most of the builds going to be using newest CPU and mb and faster ram. If not your better off holding your cash for black Friday and buying a new pre built and swapping out the power supply and dropping in a good gpu. One other places is look at best buy outlet and on dell and other pc vendors refurb and outlet sales.
