System Restarts after playing sound for 2-3 seconds

Is it onboard sound card or third party sound card. If it onboard sound try a pair of headphones. If the speakers are back feeding an cause reboots. anther thing to look into is USB devices. To many or a bad one can cause a pc to reboot. check your ram..run memtest for bad stick. Check that pc not dust bound. The last would be bad sound chipset or a new card using same Irq or memory space.

Try reseting the bios to default and try the newest mb chipset drivers and sound card. Sounds like on the second reboot system loaded a driver or hardware on the same space as the sound card. If you have pci wifi or other pci cards try removing them to see if it them or the mb.
