Would adding a third fan to the D14 be viable, and helpful?
I can get that for around the price of a single Phanteks PH-TC14PE.

Would it make no difference to performance, or just very little. Do you have any benchmarks by anychance?

Oh and since writing this I purchased a Phanteks PH-TC14PE, but still I'm considering putting a third fan on it.

No difference. If you think about it, you would have a rear exhaust. So it's already like a third fan. You don't need another pull fan right in front of the exhaust. The only thing that will do is add more noise.

I own both Units and there will be no difference at all with three fans.
