i7-3610 vs i-7 3630

The 2 computers are nearly identical except the 3630 has 16 GB DDR and the 3610 has less, 12 GB DDR. I would prefer the 7630 but am afraid of windows 8. I'm not a youngster and have a computer technician that I rely on for even simple changes

The difference is basically 0. Turbo and thermals are more important (ie if the 3630 has poor thermals and doesn't boost then it could be weaker than the 3610 system). Just buy the win 7 machine if you are afraid of win 8.

LOL, thank you. The first and last sentences I understand, the rest - not so much. I think I can always upgrade the memory on the 3610 to 16GB if I feel I need it. I truly appreciate your help, thank you
