bf3 graphic anomaly

Solution

hi, I've had the same problem. It seems to be with a lot of 560ti and that game. Sometimes dialling back AA seems to help, but not always. It certainly reduces the frequency. Overclocking makes the problem worse, so run at stock, and with reduced AA and see how you get on. A lot of other 560ti/BF3 users are experiencing the same. Try different driver sets to see if that helps.

Your video card has an issue. Either it's overheating or the VRAM has gone bad. Regardless if overclocked, try underclocking it a little bit to see if the problem persists.

the strange think is that my memory temps are at almost 100 degrees when i play but after a shutdown they are normal again around the gpu temps. After gaiming they keep at hight temps 80-90.Is that the cause of the problem?

The VRAM is probably getting too hot and it's causing artifacts. Does this happen in other games too?

that could be the cause, but those cards run at about 80-90 degrees with full gaming load. Try manually setting the fans to run at 60% + and see if that keeps the temps lower. On the artefacts, and what causes them, my own experience is it's only with this game. I play NFS The Run, and it's the same Frostbite engine as BF3. No problems in that game. Maybe it's poor coding from EA/Dice or a glitch from Nvidia and that specific card. My Vram usage for BF 3 is about 850 -900 mbs on 1680 x 1050) My temps whilst gaming never go above 80 and I have it set about 40% fan speed. Reducing AA seems to help, but not get rid of the problem.

Take a look at this website: http://www.playtool.com/pages/artifacts/artifacts.html. You should try stress testing your motherboard RAM. It appears that motherboard RAM can cause visual artifacts as well.

You should try troubleshooting with other pieces of hardware if possible. Swap out your video card with a different one to see if the problem is still there. If it's still doing it with another card then it's probably not your video card.

Do the same thing with the RAM. If it's still artifacting after trying both swaps then maybe consider underclocking your CPU back to stock to see if that causes it. Other than those hardware pieces, I don't' think it could be anything else besides something on the software end. (Drivers, the actual game itself, etc.) You could try fully reinstalling your drivers and reinstalling the game.

The problem has desapaired after instaling 311.06 driver witch has as far solved the problem. I had overclocker the gpu and i run it again at stok speed so the problem is now gone!

thank you all for your help!

glad to help in anyway :)
