Thermal sensor header wiring trouble

Hi,

I am changing the case of my Lenovo Slimline and came upon a wire called the thermal sensor on my motherboard, I am not sure what this will do if i don't wire it, help me with that please.

Where does the sensor lead originate? I know it plugs into a header on your m/b, but where does it come from? Case?, different m/b area?

Not using it should not cause any problems. Before you switch cases, download hardware monitor and run it with the sensor hooked up. Make a screenshot of the outputs, then shut down, disconnect the sensor wire from the m/b and restart. Then look at hardware monitor again and see what reading is absent.
