As stated above, as long as you have the correct expansion slot available (PCIE, PCI, maybe AGP lol) and the correct power connectors available you will be good to go. Do you have any specific card in mind?

lol i thought 'ddr' was a type of expansion slot aha and i used to be good computers befor this danm schizophrenia f**ked my mind up :( i just want something rather cheap(ish) with a HDMI output and at least 1GB of onboard memory...

OK so i looked at the dell optiplex 360 specs and you do have "1 PCIe x16 full height graphics,
-(H: 4.2" X L: 9")" so u can run a lot of cards. Your biggest issue is going to be the 255W power supply. Unless you upgrade that you are boned. For example here is a decent card in a low price range http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150642. It requires a minimum of a 500 watt power supply. Any half decent card is going to need more than 255.
