How to properly overclock RAM for Asus mobo

I'm getting new RAM and CPU delivered soon today and would like a couple questions answered. The RAM I'm getting operates at a speed of 2133. My mobo supports it, but it says O.C next to the speed so I assume this means I have to overclock something. Can someone tell me what I should be doing in BIOS so my ram can operate at full speed? Thanks.

Hello,

It should actually be pretty easy for you. If your RAM has a "XMP" profile, that's what you'll use to hit your speeds. I have 2133 RAM myself, and if you do nothing, it will typically just boot up at 1600. Go into your bios, and select "X.M.P. Profile 1" (or whatever it looks like for your specific setup). That should automatically get your RAM to its sweet spot, and you'll be good to go!

He's posting on this forum asking how to get his RAM to run at rated speeds on a high end mobo. He won't notice.

Just set the profile in Bios to XMP profile 1.
