Can I fit this graphics card in my build?

I used PC part picker to choose this build, and it has an auto-compatibility tester. It said everything was compatible, but when I received the parts, the GPU would not fit into the case. The place where the GPU slides in is too small, even the larger slot. Is there any way to get an adapter to get the GPU to the other side of the case, and is there and adapter to make it smaller so it fits the slot?

The build is here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/crubleigh/saved/1Ecy

Thank you.

It's for my mom. She's only uses it for general everyday stuff. She saves most of her stuff on an external drive too. I only got that graphics card because it was cheap. She insisted that she has a tiny horizontal case so she could have her monitor on top, so the graphics card doesn't fit, although the tester should have caught that. Also, doesn't the PSU not really matter that much? The wattage works, and it has enough plugs.

But do you know of adapters so I could get this thing to fit? Like a cord that plugs into the port so you can move the card around and an adapter that allows a larger card to fit into a smaller port.

They usually don't measure GPU Card Space, only MOBO compatibility.
Also, that's a weird build. Bottlenecks everywere, if you are using it for 3d render.

Huge mistake in picking that Video Card!

It is for workstation software. It is for my mom to do accounting and general stuff. Also you may have picked up that I have already bought these parts and assembled them, and the GPU, where the problem is, is not returnable.

I got it for $60

It doesn't show that vendor on PCpartpicker anymore though

Do you think I could sell it though if I've already opened it, or do you think nobody wants it?

Make sense, VGA slots on Case are standard. Should fit.

Yeah, but she's gotta have her horizontal case. I'll go to Fry's today and ask there, and if there still aren't any adapters, then I'll just buy a cheap low profile GPU.

Back to the original question. Whether there is someway of making it fit will depend on the case. If you supply some pictures that would be great.

Also your Mum didn't need a workstation card to do those sort of tasks. By workstation card, it means rendering high quality images/videos etc in a professional environment (back in 2004 though). If the monitor she uses has VGA you can use the integrated graphics of the CPU and plug it into the mobo. Or get something like a GT 610 that will fit in every case as long as they use a standard layout of expansion slots.

If you read any previous posts, you would know that this computer is basically for accounting and internet.

The thing is pretty much already built. I don't know if i could just rip the CPU out put it back in the box and send it back. The return policy for that is not going to work.

I was thinking that too, but I still spent $60 on it and it should be put to good use. Would it help if I put it in my computer and put my secondary monitor on it? Would that reduce the work that the main one has to do?

Are there there adapters for HDMI to fit into the smaller port? My motherboard only has the smaller port and her new monitor has HDMI. I could give her my crappy old one that fits that port, but that's kind of a dick move.

Although I got the GPU at a really cheap price of $60 and everywhere else it's listed $1200, could I sell it?

It's a tight fit even without the motherboard and CPU (which is right under it). The monitor is HDMI (the big one) and the iGPU is VGA (the small one right?). I did get the GPU for $60, and everywhere else it's listed at $1200, so I could sell it. I could get a low profile one, but i still; don't want it to go to waste.
