Need help with oem windows 8!

I bought an oem version of windows 8 and installed it on my custom pc that I built.
An hour later the motherboard malfunctioned and I had to send it back to get a new one. Now that I have installed the new motherboard my windows 8 won't work. What is the cheapest and best way to go about this?

Is windows asking for an activation code?

no it tells me to restore it and i do. then it goes through the process and pops up with the same message,

Do a re-uninstall, that should solve your problems.

i put the disk in and tried to do a install but the it popped u p with the same message

Unless your new mobo is exactly the same as the last one, best perform a clean install, ie. delete all partitions at the 'Where do you want to install Windows' screen.

Try using the "Troubleshooting " part of the disk, if your haven't already.

Check Windows is activated, then re-install any Drivers that are missing.
