Where to get gaming laptop under $850?

I've been searching everywhere for a good gaming laptop. However, it seems most offer a good CPU but fall behind on the graphics card.

I'm looking for:

-Gaming Laptop with 15-16 inch screen
-Between $600-$850
-Has a good graphics card (seems like most come with low-mid GE force cards, which is meh)

Any suggestions are welcome. I built my desktop but I have no clue how/where to get laptop parts.

  1. ROFL!!! There is no such thing as a cheap gaming laptop. It will cost about double the price of a similar desktop. Get a desktop instead for your price range, it will be much faster than a laptop at the same price.
  2. I went here to get some info for mine: http://www.gaminglaptopsjunky.com/

I already built a desktop. If the price is as crazy as you say, is it cheap to build a laptop?

Thank you for the link. I noticed one of the laptops looks good, but I can actually buy from HP and get the same specs one except with an I7 CPU for about the same price, give it take $50.
  5. That link was old. From when I bought mine. I just included it to give an example. I imagine HP has a better line-up now. My grandson talked me out of that laptop for his b-day. He hasn't found a game yet that requires him to drop to 720p.

  7. bump...?
  8. As mentioned before, it's going to be rather hard to find a "good" gaming laptop, with specifications enough to run high end games. Your best bet is to build your own desktop and I'm sure you can be well under that price range.
