Ok Gentleman-

So far I have went through this walkthrough

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

.. I have tried to install just 1 stick of Ram in Slot 1 from this user manual.

http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-x58a-ud3r_v2.0_e.pdf

.. I have tried to install the graphics card into another slot...

What other things can I try to narrow this down? Thanks Guys! Really Appreciate it!

Thanks!

Jay

Solution
Smeeze is right can you test the CPU & PS? Otherwise you could try sacrificing a virgin on the solstice, but I think you'd be better just getting a new motherboard, its less messy.

I am not sure to be honest.. I came home from work and it just was not working.. The computer powers up correctly and goes through all the normal sounds... just no display.. I tried the monitor on another computer and its working fine.

because apparently im a liar.. lol.. I copied and pasted that orignal thread from my newegg account.. but when I checked my box its an I7 950 LGA 1366.. I think what happened is when I went to buy the i7 2600k it was when they had that recall so I didnt want to wait.. I went to microcenter and bought the motherboard and processor directly from them.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ok .. Heres where I am now..

I have pulled the motherboard out of the case... hooked up the power supply.. 1 stick of Ram.. and the video card and tried to boot.. Nothing.. I swapped out the video card with another known working card... Nothing... I then swapped out the memory with memory from my other computer... nothing.. Is there anything else I should try before getting a new motherboard?

Thanks everyone for their help

Jay
