I have a four-year-old i5 750 @ 2.67 on an Asus P7-P55D LE with 8gb of Corsair DDR3 1600 ram, with an ATI 6890 running Win8 x64.
For half a year I was thinking of getting a 3770 (no K, since I don't overclock), but waited for the 4770 to come out, and now I am wondering why!
Now I'm unsure if I should just plop a 3770 into my current system (if I even can) or get a 4770 (and new mobo, and new RAM(?)... bye money)...
I use Windows Movie Maker, Handbrake, and Photoshop CS5. Which all take advantage of multithreading... and editing 1080p video on my i5 750 can get janky. (I also play L4D2 and HL3 whenever THAT will come out...)
So, 3770 or 4770+mobo? Or just wait because neither is a huge improvement over what I got now?
Thanks!
(Or maybe get a Mac Pro when they update, and dual boot? Except I haaaate using OSX.)
