I bought a Belkin N600 DB router.
The internet works on my phone, ipad and pc, but NOT on my laptop.
DHCP is enabled and it assigns my laptop an IP address. In the activity box there are only numbers shown in Send, but nothing is in packets Received.
The router uses WPA/WPA2 AES. But as soon as I turn off password protection then the internet starts to work, which really baffles me.
I have tried resetting/unplugging modem/router in every order possible.
I have tried ipconfig /release.
I have tried diagnose/repair/reboot.
I have tried renaming the SSID.
Keep in mind that other devices work, it's just this one.
Keep in mind that it works as soon as I turn off password protection.
Keep in mind that I AM computer literate - please don't offer me suggestions like "make sure you type the password correctly"
I have tried searching forums for an answer... I am looking for something different to try.
