Can i use 2 different memory brands?

SO i currently have 2 Vengence ram sticks, 4gb each (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145346). total of 8gb. I was wondering if i can use a different brand in my spare 2 RAM slots. I am going to use same size sticks, 4gb per stick and ones that are 1600 mhz capable.
I am going to SLI my 770 and need more ram, the vengence are just too expensive.

Absolutely. You will have to try to match the timings and voltages. The entire set of RAM will have to be set with the highest timings of either set and the highest voltage of either set, as long as they are both capable of 1600 Mhz operation (or more).
