Hey guys,I'm fairly new to this forum but I'm planning to build my first gaming pc,or pc for that matter, this summer and was wondering my build will be any good and hopefully future proof for the next 3-5 years? My budget is $1500;here's the list of all the parts that I'm planning on buying. I would also like to know if this motherboard will be good to overclock the FX-8350 and if the rest of the components like the liquid cooler will fit with my case.
All for a total of around $1,428.8

You shouldn't hi-jack a thread. I would change the case to be around the $80-90 area, get a $20 dvd drive, get 8GB of ram(16 is not needed for gaming and you are doing it wrong by getting 4 sticks of 4GB) Swap out 680 for 770, get a 750W PSU(modular too), swap HDD to a 1TB and get an SSD.

or you can just do it like this

If you want a windowed case, Fractal has that for a bit more(sometimes less if you buy it at the right time)

Yea you're right.I'm probably not thinking this through. Ok well I made some changes http://pcpartpicker.com/p/13Vf2 changed the case for the R4 and I kind of like that case a lot more than the NZXT plus it has plenty of fans. Will a 128 gb SSD be enough to boot up windows and store a few games in there or should I spend a little more and go for 256 gb?

-you may as well get haswell. it performs better
-you dont need the noctua necessarily. the phanteks cools almost as well for much cheaper
-the ram i chose is cheaper and performs a little better
-the msi 770 performs way better. the evga doesnt come close
-the R4 is better than the antec 900 by a long stretch
