Greetings Forums!

Newbie here, selling my iMac to build my own gaming rig. I need help tweaking my prospective build so that I can fulfill my gaming eye-candy desires:

This is my current (prospective) build:

Processor: Intel i5 3570k 3,4 GHz
GPU: GTX 770
Mobo: ASrock Z77 Extreme4
Memory: 16 GB RAM
1 TB HD 7200
Corsair Cooler Master

Case: Silverstone FT01

This amounts to be about $1100-$1300
with the cases and all other necessary components. Ideal is to trim it down to to $800. I can even substitute less-important parts for better components (like the $200 case - I know the case is expensive but I can't find a good aesthetic substitute :sarcastic:  )

I'm scrimping on the cost, because I want to set-aside enough money for Ableton Live as well. However, I don't wanna scrimp to the point where it will cause my CPU to have a very short lifespan. I still want it to have longevity.

This is also my first time building my own rig, so I'm pretty excited - so much that I'm a little paralyzed in choosing the best possible components for my budget, which is why I'm here!

SO any suggested components to replace my build, to fit my $500-$1000 budget, and to play games like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCupJTFm3-4 would be very, very much appreciated!

Thanks,
Miguel

PS: The guy in the hyperlinked video is running the following build:
Intel i5-2500K@4GHz
NVidia GTX580 OC @840/2040MHz
16GB DDR3
120GB SSD for Win7 64
60GB SSD (Skyrim installed)
1TB HD

More-eye candy (watch in 1080p). Hopefully with your help, I can upload things like these:

Hey
It means you need experienced pc with gtx 770.
It is very tough to manage other parts with gtx 770 under $1000.
But I picked some u can see this link.

(assuming the Stock cooler will fit)
This build can beat princejeet's and is significantly smaller, I wouldn't recommend it if you want SLI in the future as that is impossible to do. However if you don't want a large Computer, this SHOULD (haven't built it) Do the job and deliver superior performance.

Also in order to get 16 GB of RAM on the build I mentioned just buy 2 8 GB pieces of RAM (I believe they must be identical) so +$50 but still cheaper.
