Hi all,

If I remove RAM from motherboard,

1) do I need to completely shut down all power to motherboard? or

2) Is it enough if I just shut down the PC but power still go through into motherboard (I mean I do not turn off the switch where the power cable is plug in)?

If I did according to no (2), is it possible to get damaged to RAM modules?

Thanks a lot.

Hello there,:hello:

Yes, you need to shut down your system and make sure the main power cord is unplugged. Yes, if you go with the second option there are chances for memory modules to get damaged due to static charge.
