which ram is good for gaming
corsair vengeance 16000 MHz ram (1x4GB)
or
Gskill ripjawas 1600 MHz (1X4GB)
Or
Gskill 4Gb X 1 Ddr3 1600Mhz Cl9 Sniper RAM

for AMD A series or Pentium dual core processors ?

Solution
as they are all the same MHz speed what will mater is the timings. The ones with the lower timings will be faster than the ones with higher timings. If they are all the same timings then they will run the same and perform the same.

Both the GSkill models mentioned are great OCers, could also look at the Tridents. What freq you might want is dependent on what APU you have, I know most 5800Ks can handle up to 2 sticks of 2400, and the APUs like fast DRAM, it greatly aids their on board GPUs

Not sure where your info comes from, but I've been using GSkill DRAM for years and basically all of their different models, I agree the snipers rate a little above the Ripjaws which is a much earlier model (was followed by the Ripjaws X and the Ripjaws Z model lines), but they still OC very well and most every set I've touched it's been as simple as upping the base timings (1st 3 by 1 i.e. 1600 8-8-8-24 set to 1866 9-9-9-24) up a level. The Snipers generally can go up a level at the same base timings with maybe the exception of the CL. The RJ X and RJ Z sets are about on a par with the Snipers and the Tridents (their newest line) is the best yet (in fact they are currently (i.e. today) setting world freq records at Computex 2013. Corsairs Vengeance models are very good, but I've done a lot of testing with similarly rated sticks i.e. 2-4 sets of each and overall have always had better luck with GSkill

I agree that the Ripjaws X and Ripjaws Z models are excellent at overclocking. However, those are not among the options OP listed. Ripjaws is terrible. That is based on my own testing and experience. Given that the Ripjaws were so cheap, I bought some for a build and I RMA'd it shortly. I've read others on overclock and overclock3d that also mention the same issues.

thought I was the only one who didn't like ripjaws?

Of the RJ lines, they aren't my first choice, but before the X and Zs were released (figure the original Rjs came out in late 2009) I used a ton of them, even back to the 775 socket Intel rigs when the MC was in the NB and I was always (almost always anyway ;) ) able top OC them higher. As far as other forums, they are often like this one, to often folks don't update their BIOS, they mix sets, mix densities, mix timing sets, and have no clue at all about advanced timings or when/how to adjust voltages...DRAM mystifies most users (including prob 50% or better of the builders out there). Between that and the fact theat most BIOSs on most mobos aren't really tuned for XMP implementation (especially for higher freqs and densities, a huge percentage of sets of DRAM that are returned through RMA often have absolutely nothing wrong with them

but as the other friends said ripjaws x and z series are better what would you say ?

Definitely, the X series came out oriented/aimed at the 1155 and Sandy Bridge, then the Z series which while primarily aimed at X79 was also the entry for Ivy Bridge, next from GSkill was Ares, which is sort of a low profile general stick, and was soon followed by the initial Trident line which has now been greatly expanded towards Haswell and the Z87 mobos, these are currently available up through 3000 sticks. They are on the taller side but do have a removeable upper fin for overlarge CPU coolers. I've been building going back to the 386 CPUs and have used all kinds of DRAM, and though I've cut way back, I'll still build 40-50 rigs a year and oft times have a client that has a hardcore tie to a certain manufacturer, so I'll build with that DRAM (gives me a chance to test and compare) and most always GSkill sets come out ahead, even have clients change from their choice on occasion when they see the differences.

Prob is based on what's available and price, since OP asked about 4 x 1GB, there are many that may want to fill all slots (why I don't know), or may want more info on specific models, on CLs, whatever rather than just a generic buy in pairs - i.e. if they want to fill 4 slots, they don't want to buy two pairs as that can be problematic, they should buy a single 4 stick package so they know all four will work together and in particular at 1600 and higher then the four sticks will work under XMP which is programmed by the set
