Wireless Interference -- Time for a new Mouse?

I have 2 Logitech M505 mice, 2 universal receivers. I've been having some intermittent problems that I've duplicated with both mice. Basically at times the mice are not smooth and it is difficult to select items that are close together (for example it's difficult to select between tabs in chrome, when many tabs are open, when the mouse isn't working well). I would not call the Interference severe; but when it happens, it's enough to drive me crazy by causing me to click on the wrong things.

I put the universal receiver (tried 2 different ones, same results) on an usb extension code and kept it right by my mouse and still had some issues with it not being smooth / skipping. I have 2 computers right next to each other and have duplicated the problem on both computer. Though the problem actually seems worse on my new computer and not as bad on my dell. I have USB 3.0 drives connected to the dell, which I know can cause interference also.

Computers are hardwired on Cat6 GB. Wireless router is upstairs about 20 feet away.

I don't play any games, but I have 5 monitors between the 2 computers and need to be able to accurately use the mouse. I typically use the mouse at the fastest setting in the set point software; so I can span 3 full monitors in about two inches of movement (two 24" and a 27" monitor).

I'm feeling really reluctant to go back to a corded mouse. I use several keyboards; one of which is a Logitech K800; which seems to work fine.

I'm ready to punch in an order for a new mouse, but am torn as to what to get. I was thinking of either trying a different brand that might be better at overcoming interference or getting ahold of one of the few older 27Mhz mice.

When it works properly; I've perfectly happy with the size and function of the cheap $20 M505.

Thank You kindly for reading and for any suggestions;
