Asus GTX 660

OR

Evga GTX 660

I know Asus is a lot cheaper but at the same time I want the best bang for my buck. I can't really see a comparison benchmark for these two online. I need expert advice for this one, thanks

Asus one has a better cooler and is likely to run quieter. If you're going to OC the GPU, get the Asus one. Otherwise, the small boost in Superclocked is a good choice.

Honestly just get the HD 7870 which is alot faster and comes with 4 games and OCs much better

I heard that 7870 is weaker than 660 for games like skyrim, bf3, etc.... 4 games sounds good but I wouldn't want a weaker GPU that would be in my rig for a very very long time.

7870 is stronger in almost all games except the 2 you mentioned that are evidently highly nvidia optimized titles.

GTX 660 vs HD 7870 is a pretty even battle. The HD 7870 does provide some free games so there is incentive to buy it over the GTX 660. NVIDIA cards on the other hand has better gameplay transitions and is smoother.

660 vs 7870, i agree with ksham statement
cheaper 660 beat 7870, but that not end yet, a more update driver will impact the performance.
Overall, Nvidia win in gaming, provide some good feature like TXAA, PhysX, 3D Vision
Darkman69, appreciate your critisism.

AMD cards are stronger than NVIDIA cards by raw power. But NVIDIA cards has (in addition to what is said) better drivers and adaptive vsync. It, in general, provides a much smoother gameplay and less choppy.

You need to cite your qualified and quantified sources to your claims. GTX 660 is at best just under an HD 7870.

Nvidia win AMD in driver, darkman69.
TXAA more use in game right now. Eat less fps and still provide quality like MSAA, MSAA is eat a lot of fps to provide a good quality,
I agree that 256 bit card beat 192 bit card in raw power like ksham say, because when you go further 1080p, 256bit would be at least need to power up.

You need to cite your sources to your claims. TXAA is nvidia junk not used in many games at all just like Physx.

Okay,
Now, I'm debating between Sapphire HD 7870 or Gigabyte 660
This is so hard, any advice would be nice.

Both are solid cards. The 7870 is a bit faster but a bit more expensive but comes with more games and the 660 is a bit slower and less money and comes with only one game.

Endless topic, i would say, don't start the thread. golden advise.
Driver is the only significant aspect of the card impact performance.
The Darkman69 do this of one reason, a medal, so i cannot help this guy.

Is Op getting dual cards ?

Not for a very very long time.

Ya get the 7870 as it's faster and comes with 4 freaking AAA games which is the most beast deal ever man !

HD 7870 seems really good right now, I did some side research and look at other reviews from people. I got mix reviews, but so far it's leaning more on 7870.
I'll go to bed and check back tomorrow. I shall have my decision tomorrow.

Thanks everyone responding
