Hello,

I've been saving up for the last year for a new pc, so I think it's time to buy one.
Though I am not sure if it's worth its price cause of the brand itself, the hardwares look good though.
I want to know if this pc is capable of playing game like Skyrim and Battlefield 3, Far Cry 3 at high setting (ultra and such is not necassery) with a smooth frame rate, and will atleast last for 2 years.

Here it is:

Thanks in advance.

No, that graphics card won't do what you want it to. This one is much better for the same price, anyone else feel free to throw your 2 cents in here. I've never heard of that brand before

Before you buy anything check out these guys, they make pretty decent PCs at reasonable prices. Not sure what your price range is, so if you see something you like post it back on here.

Looking at prices in the Netherlands, it seems to be a reasonable deal for the hardware you're getting. That said, the 2700k is now 2 generations old (it's a Sandy Bridge part and Intel's on Haswell now) and the 7770 is more mainstream (rather than high end) part. Also, I question the service you'd get from Medion.

But, if it works, it will certainly play your games at medium settings at 1920x1080 or similar resolutions. High might be too much to ask without a video card upgrade (the processor and RAM are certainly strong enough).

Thanks for the answers everyone,

But what about the fact that it runs on Windows 8? or it is it alot like windows 7?
I also have a GTX 550 TI, if it's better than the 7770

7770 is a bit (a tiny bit) of an upgrade from the 550 TI. They're so close, you may not notice a difference. The GTX 660 is much stronger.

Windows 8 is considerably different than Windows 7 - but these days you're only getting 8 on a new build unless you build it yourself. I recommend you google the differences between the two OSes (short list: Win8 removes the Start Menu and programs list, adds the "Metro" app UI as standard and adds a charms/search interface to replace the program list. Public perception of the OS is so bad that they're undoing a number of those changes with Win8.1 coming out soon as a free update for 8.)

The HD7770 is better than 550Ti. It is weird that the same manufacture sells the PC that Andon48 suggests for the same price that the one you saw since Andon48 option is much better. I strongly suggest that you build your PC instead of buying a pre-build unit. 900.00 euros can get you a good PC. Windos 8 is the same for gaming than windows 7. Also, some people out there don't spend money on Windows, they just get a copy using uTorrent and save the money for better hardware. This of course is ilegal and I DO NOT recomend or aprove it.

Don't listen to @vehlor - if you want Windows, buy Windows (if you build the PC yourself, you can qualify for the cheaper OEM version if you're okay without MS support). Otherwise, use Linux or another actually free OS.

Building is usually cheaper than buying...but in this case, I'm not so sure. Netherlands prices seem a bit inflated - I did a bit of shopping on Azerty.nl and the cheapest matching CPU/Vid Card (GTX660)/specs setup including Win8 I can make comes to ~750 euro (and that's without a case, power supply or optical drive which will easily add 80-100 euro). So you're looking at spending about 50 euro more for the pre-built option. (Sorry I couldn't provide a more accurate build - it's difficult to shop in a language you don't speak :) )

I understand that and all, but the fact that it runs on Windows 8 bugs me like hell, I read about it and looked at some videos about, and I just don't think it's a good idea for me to start using a new OS wich I am totally not expierenced with on a 900 euro pc.
My current pc is:
Core 2 Duo E7600
4 GB RAM
GTX 550 TI
This build allows me to play Far Cry 3 on medium settings at 40 fps, Skyrim at medium/high settings at 40 fps.
But it makes my pc go loud, and I don't think it can take much more.
So al I want to know is, even though this new pc (http://www.medion.com/nl/prod/MEDION%C2%AE+AKOYA%C2%AE+PC+P5346+D/10016129A1) is not a gaming rig, but it will get me way further than my current pc?
Not sure if Medion is a reliable brand either, but I want it to be able to run for hours while playing game like Battlefied 3 and Skyrim on high settings (AA off and such at 1440x900 resolution) without it dying in a few months.

For gaming, it will be slightly better. Not a ton.

For video editing or rendering or things like that it will be miles better.

1440x900 is relatively low resolution so it should play games at medium/high settings. if you bump it up to 1080p don't expect more than low/medium in newest games.

The GPU is the most important part for gaming. CPU matter WAY less. The 7770 is barely better than your 550ti. The fast that it has an i7 means not very much.

Doesn't Skyrim need a good CPU though?
