CPU temperature question

Hi, I have a 2 year old Asus N61JQ laptop with a core i7 and a Mobility Radeon HD 5730. The CPU temperature at 0-2% load is around 70 degrees and even the GPU idle is around 60-70 degrees

Should I be worried about this? I already cleaned it but the temperatures didn't seem to go down..

If that's Celsius, you should be mildy worried. Which parts did you clean - did you pull the actual heatsink out and remove the dust between it and the fan?

Check if the airflow is not blocket with any dust.

Idle temperature should be bellow 50 Celsius, if the temperatures are in farenheit you have amazing good temps.

You can find on google criticals temps for Intel Core i7.

I wish they were in farenheit haha.. no no they are degrees celsius. I opened the laptop and cleaned the vents and the fan itself. Which part is the heatsink please? This is the fan I have:

The heatsink is the big line of fins at the bottom. The side next to the fan will usually be covered in dust.

Make sure you re-applied thermal paste to the CPU/GPU if you removed the cooler.

oh so I have to unscrew the fan and clean it right? didn't think it was necessary haha

Also, if the problem started recently, it maybe coz of hot-weather depending upon your location.
