Hi guys,

Two days ago my technician replaced my old Nvidia GeForce 9600 GS (whose fan stopped spinning) with a brand new AMD Radeon HD 7870.
Now my PC is great for gaming: e.g., with my old video card, Far Cry 3 ran at 10 FPS at MINIMUM settings, and now it runs at constant 30 FPS (with Vsync on) at Very High settings.

The new video card was installed with no problems whatsoever, but after I turned on the PC yesterday, half of my programs (Skype, Itunes, AMD Catalyst control center itself, Itunes, ALL videogames...) crashed as soon as I opened them, along with the ntdll.dll error.

I haven't installed anything for a month, so I assume the problem is caused by my new video card (even though I've got the latest drivers). (I also ran sfc /scannow 6 times and it didn't detect anything)

But the funniest thing is that I restored my PC to the day the video card was installed (5/5/13) and everything worked just fine: no more crashes, no more ntdll.dll errors. So I created a new system restore point (yesterday, the sixth of June). However, today I turned on my PC and the same programs crashed again, the same ntdll.dll error came up again. I restored my PC again, but this time to the latest restore point, and everything worked fine.

this doesn't make sense to me! Could you please help me? How can I solve this problem without having to restore my PC to the last restore point every time I boot it?

Thanks a lot.
