I have a radeon hd 6950 2gb graphic card can you tell me if it is compatable with
ga-ma770-ud3 motherboard becaise when i fitted it a loud high pich noise came from the computor i put my old card back in and it was fine

It is not the motherboard the guy above is half correct in explaining it is the fan on the psu the cause is because the power supply is struggling to power said card

get a cx 750w or a thermal take 750w or gx 650 coolermaster depending which is cheaper and the issue will be solved otherwise your at risk of blowing your psu

I have a 700w psu its modular and put in 2 pci express power conections I know its not the fans making that noise because when i put my old graphic card back in the noise went i did unplug the the power from the 6950 graphic card and i still got the high pitch noise do you think as calvin7 said it may be a faulty pci express power lead or input to the graphic card ?

then maybe the GFX card's fan is making the noise.because different GFX cards have different fan's and heatsinks. what is your current model [ i mean which 6950 model? is it from asus? sapphire? powercolor?]
