Sorry for the delayed response...crazy weekend 
You need to set hidden folders to show in advanced folder options.
In an explorer window:
1. Navigate to your user folder.
2. Press Alt, and some menus will show up at the top of the window.
3. Click on Tools->Folder Options, a "Folder Options" dialogue will pop up.
4. Click on the "view" tab.
5. In the "Advanced settings" section find the "Hidden files and folders" line.
There will be two radio buttons under that line.
6. Select the radio button labeled: Show hidden files, folders, drives
You will now be able to navigate to the AppData folder.
You need to set hidden folders to show in advanced folder options.

I've done some googling but cant seem to find a good solution to the problem if just copying the files isnt working.
