Ok, at my work we have a T1 line. We have the main switch that runs to 6 computers, 1 printer, and 1 switch that has 2 printers on it. Is it possible to just run a wireless router from the 2nd switch so i can get internet on my phone, and laptops?

Yea you could but it would be a complete security vulnerability. You better check with the network admin's in your IT dept. 99% of your Net Admin's would flip s*$t if they found out that someone plugged in a wireless router on their network. Check first before you do, it could cost you your job.

*play it safe is all I mean, check with them first*

I'm an admin and nothing pisses me off more then anything then finding a rogue access point, let alone one that's OPEN.

The problem then goes to:
Someone else in the office sees you have your own WiFi for your phone, etc.
"Hey...can I connect to that?"
"Sure, here's the WPA key.'

And now you've lost any control. Who will he give that key to?
