Hi there,

I've come across a problem, and I'm slightly panicking but I'm trying not to become too over zealous of the situation.

This morning, I decided to do a little "spring cleaning" on my computer, cleared out some dust, the usual routine. I booted up my computer, and I remembered there was a problem I was trying to fix a few months back, and thought I'd gear on it this morning.

I was showing that I had 3.99GB Usable but I have 8GB of ram. So I did some research and I came across this forum and this thread here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/309643-30-installed-usable

The 2nd post in reply to this thread was clearing your CMOS, I followed the instructional video..to the tee.

Now I'm stuck in a boot loop; To top it off...I'm kind of an idiot I forgot what I had my bios settings to. To make things worse about a year ago I recovered my PC from a virus that was stuck in a Boot loop it was a long and dreadful process but I was able to recover it. Funny thing it all happened in June of last year...I have these bad omens during the summer time with my computer I don't know why.

It would be lovely to get an expertise on board to help me with my situation. I do a lot of 3d Animation, and have very important data; I'm just preparing myself for the worse already, just in-case I have truly corrupted my computer for a complete reformat.

I'm more than confident this problem is reversible...and I just need some guidance thanks.

I'm running on Windows 7 Home 64bit

Thanks,

-Shimi

Thank you for the speedy reply. Yes I did put the jumper back its original placement in the correct pins. And then I took out the battery flipped it for 5min's put it back in place.

The good news is, I just got my computer to turn back on. I had a flash back and remembered my bios settings, to be more specific...the Lan Controller was disabled, I re-enabled it and the SATA mode was switched to AHCI and I changed it to RAID and she loaded just fine...I rebooted her twice to make sure everything is all systems go.

Thank you very much for the quick response. Sorry for the waste of a post.

Thanks,

If anything is to arise, I'll be sure to make an updated post.
