Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 oc with boost FleX

so i just recently purchased this card its great, anyway, i cant seem to get eye finity working at all it shows theyre are 3 monitors connected but when i go to make the eye finity group only gives me the option of 2x1 :/ so my card had a display port and 2 dvis and a hdmi my 2 monitors have hdmi and vga i bought 2 hdmi to dvi adapter they work. then i have another monitor pretty new not the same as these ones it has dvi and vga and hdmi anyway so that is connected through dvi and one is hooked up via display port to dvi PASSIVE because my card needs passive i beleive saw that on there video its a flex edition card anyway so when i boot up 2 will work and when i get to my log in screen i see only one of the other ones that didnt work on boot up work so the odd 3rd one and then when i log in 2 of them work and i go to amd catalyst and try to do eyefinty and no go 2x1 display how to fix no clue?

From what I understand, when you want an 3-screen eyefinity setup with a single AMD card, one of the monitors has to be plugged into the displayPort connector on the video card and if a converter is used from the displayPort connector, it has to be an active converter.

The Flex allows for a DVI-DVI-HDMI or DVI-DVI-VGA, though.

Are you sure it is the flex edition? The flex edition has two mini-DisplayPort connections?

In that case, you'll need an active adapter from the mini-displayPort to one monitor (either miniDP to HDMI or miniDP to DVI depending on how you want to arrange your monitors). Then you can use a combination of either two DVIs or a DVI and an HDMI for the other two monitors.

Because you don't have the flex edition, one of your monitors needs to connect to the mini-displayport. Because your monitors don't have a displayPort connection, you'll need to get an active adapter (not passive).

Here's how I would do it if I had external speakers and didn't need to use any monitor's speakers.
Monitor 1) MiniDP to Active MiniDP to DVI adapter and DVI cable
Monitor 2) DVI-DVI with DVI cable
Monitor 3) DVI-DVI with DVI cable

If I need to use speakers on one of the monitors:
Monitor 1) MiniDP to Active MiniDP to DVI adapter and DVI cable
Monitor 2) HDMI-HDMI with HDMI cable. This would be your center monitor and have sound transmitted through HDMI.
Monitor 3) DVI-DVI with DVI cable

In either case, an active adapter would be involved from the miniDP connection on the video card.

Ok. Then everywhere I mentioned miniDP above, substitute DP. You'll need an active DP to DVI adapter unless there's someone out there that knows any differently?

down by the eyefinity logo (you have to scroll down a ways), it says "*To support 3 displays, one of the monitors has to support DisplayPort", unless you have a flex edition. You do not have a flex edition. As a result, in order to support the DisplayPort requirement, you need to use an active adapter from DP to DVI.

well i can use the monitor that is using the displayport to dvi by itself but it wont be found in the eyefinity option it also works in dual monitors?

Your monitors do not support DisplayPort unless they have a DisplayPort connection on the back.

As a result, since all of your monitors support DVI connections, you should get the active DisplayPort to DVI connector here:

If you use this, it will allow you to run Eyefinity with your monitors that do not inherently support DisplayPort connections.
