SO my question is if this SATA drive is any good or not. ITs what i am currently using I got it in 2011. A few days ago i basically replaced entire computer internals except this sata drive. Is it worth replacing? It gets a 5.9 in wondows reating while everything else is a 7.8, 7.9.

Current rig:
AMD fx 8350 Oced to 4.5ghz
GTX 770
GTX 550 TI- as psych X card
8 gb ram- corsair vengence
750 watt PSU
gigabyte 990fxa-UD3

Quick questions. IM going to buy the samsung one. SO how would this work. The old hard drvie would hold all my games and other files while the samsung has the OS on it? I dont understand how i can use the old one as a storage.

Im sort of a NOOB when it comes to harddrive. So firstly will i have to wipe the old hard Drive? Secondly do i have to change any settings so that it boots on the new drive and uses the second as storage?

Pretty much agree, though you don't technically have to wipe the old drive.
Also make sure the SSD is set to AHCI mode in BIOS/UEFI before installing Windows.

Crucial's m4 has been around for a long time and is known as a very reliable SSD. It's not particularly fast anymore, but compared to a HDD it's still a huge upgrade.

What about the Kingston v300. My local store Carries this ssd and its easier so I don't have to wait for shipping. The 250 GB on i can actually get for only 150 dollars vs 200 for the other ones so this is a great value but performace wise would this kigston be in the same range at the other SSDs.
